ART & NATURE SUMMER SCHOOL
Summer School led with Kaitlin Ferguson, in collaboration with scientists and geologists from the University of East Anglia.
Each year the programme explores a different theme in response to the Sainsbury Centre Collection and the local landscape. So far we’ve explored maps, cross-sections, past, present and future, and most recently, the invisible. Each year a logbook is designed to compliment the weeks activites.
Collaboration is a guiding concept for the week: between art and science, between the working methods used in each, and between the children as they work on projects together. The school culminates in an exhibition curated by the children, which highlights their proficiency in thinking and making, and their collaborative skills.
